The secret to a successful BI project is the symbiosis between implementer and consultant, this is one of the major conclusions to take from the specialized conference called Analyze That!, which took place on 20 October 2016 at Inter Expo Center. The event was entirely focused on BI technologies, their development and trends in the field. Representatives of some of the most recognizable brands in Bulgaria—FICOSOTA, Coca-Cola Hellenic, FANTASTICO chain store—participated at the conference. Balkan Services, together with Qlik, the world leader in Data Discovery and BI, were the sponsoring companies. Marius Stoica, Regional Sales Manager at Qlik for Eastern Europe, was a special guest speaker.
Mr. Stoica came to Sofia specially for this conference to present the latest features of the Qlik Sense BI tool. During his presentation, he told us how data is easily and quickly turning into information.
Users also shared their opinion on BI technologies, by presenting us successfully implemented projects. Stefan Kemenchedzhiev, Manager Business Analysis, told us how over 100 people at FICOSOTA used QlikView on a daily basis, and Kaloyan Nikolov, IT Director at FANTASTICO chain store, explained that they received first reports with actual data in the Qlik Sense app only in 4 days, thanks to the collaboration between the chain store team and the consultants from Balkan Services. The last speaker at the conference, Zhivko Yankov, Solution Architect – Reporting at Coca-Cola Hellenic, said that a large international company like Coca-Cola Hellenic uses BI to analyze huge volumes of data and tracks hundreds of KPIs.
According to Boyana Likomanova-Dimova, BI Department Manager at Balkan Services, "Use of BI systems saves key company employees time by giving them accurate information at the right time". She also added that "BI gets to wherever your imagination goes".
At the end of the conference, there was a practical module for the guests to observe technical details and visualize sample final results of Business Intelligence projects for sales analysis, staff performance, marketing activities, financial indicators. They analyzed data by themselves at Business Intelligence environment by creating reports, dashboards, budgets.
