Balkan Services has successfully completed BI project at UBB Interlease

Balkan Services has successfully completed the first phase of a Business Intelligence project at one of the leading Bulgarian leasing companies—UBB Interlease, which is а part of the Belgian banking and insurance group—KBC Group.

Due to the continuous business development and the increasing necessity of detailed reports and analyzes in the company, there is a need of automated reports and establishment of a unified, flexible and dynamic information reporting system. The leasing company analyzes its processes and decides to upgrade the current reporting system with a BI platform that automates the reports preparation, integrates the main systems that the company uses and has a convenient and easy-to-use interface accessible by any device.

In order to meet this need, Balkan Services is building Qlik Sense reporting system that covers the sales presentation in the company. An application with 22 dashboards with graphical and tabular references, as well as visualization of key indicators, was created for the purposes of the project. The application sets out rules for managing end-user access by level and position within the organization.

Teams of developers and project managers have been built to work together for the implementation of the BI software by the integrator—Balkan Services and the client—UBB Interlease. In the Business Intelligence system building process, the project participants overcome a number of challenges, such as periodic changes in the company requirements and business needs, maximum approximation to the established reports visualizations, construction of a stable architecture, allowing further improvements, working in a highly regulated environment due to high requirements and strict rules in terms of IT security, etc.

As a result of the implemented Qlik Sense system, UBB Interlease automates the data consolidation processes, reports preparation on predefined key indicators and reports updating. With the help of the BI software, the company receives accurate and timely information, which makes it possible to make more effective management decisions. Some of the most important benefits of the new company data analytics system are: time for key company employees, a unified version of the truth, automatic reports preparation and the possibility for a drill down.
