On 25th July 2019, Balkan Services organized the 23rd edition of the Business Intelligence training. In just one day, the BI company experts demonstrated to the students how to use Business Intelligence software for integration and analysis of data from various sources, as well as how to make more informed and timely decisions.
The training was opened by Boyana Likomanova-Dimova, Head of the BI Division and Partner at Balkan Services, who explained the role of Business Intelligence in organizations, the benefits from such business systems, as well as the effective methods for setting and measuring the key performance indicators of a company. Naeri Masihi, Project Manager and BI analyst, described the main stages of analysis, preparation and effective execution of a complete project for the BI system implementation. Radoslava Dimitrova, Principal BI consultant, shared the latest innovations in the Business Intelligence platform called Qlik Sense and the opportunities they provide, and she explained what the additional NPrinting tool is. The speakers demonstrated the capabilities of the system by showing two business intelligence applications developed by the Balkan Services team.
In the second part of the training, the students were able to build their first Qlik Sense application, individually supported by the Balkan Services consultants who were by their side the whole time. Iliyan Somlev, Principal BI consultant, guided the participants through the processes of the Data model construction, the loading of the data into the system, the data aggregation and verification, as well as the correction of data errors that have occurred. Albena Mitova, BI consultant, presented the options for data visualization, the creation of important key indicators and the different ways to display them graphically — tables, diagrams, maps, etc.
At the end of the event, each student received a Certificate for the successful completion of a training course called “First Steps in Business Intelligence.”
