In the last financial year, all public companies in Bulgaria, obliged to prepare their annual financial statements in the European Single Electronic Format (ESEF), had to tag only their "four main forms". For financial years beginning on or after January 1, 2022, the tagging of the notes to the financial statements is mandatory .
The new challenge in the preparation of the ESEF reports is the text block tagging of the notes, which will significantly affect the reporting process.
