Brief Summary
Balkan Services delivered one of its largest ERP implementation projects by replacing Quadrant Beverages’ existing ERP system with Oracle NetSuite. The goal of the project was to automate key business processes and ensure full batch traceability. The solution is integrated with SFA (Sales Force Automation), WMS, and EDI systems, enabling centralized data management, improved sales visibility, and significantly higher operational efficiency.
About the Company
Quadrant Beverages AD is the Bulgarian subsidiary of the Czech group Mattoni 1873 and is responsible for the production and distribution of some of the most recognisable soft drink brands in Bulgaria from the PepsiCo portfolio—Pepsi, Mirinda, 7UP, Evervess, and Prisun.
The company is the official distributor of Lipton iced tea and, since 2021, has also been expanding the market presence of RILANA spring water in Bulgaria.
At the group level, Mattoni 1873 is a leading producer of mineral and spring waters in Central Europe, with a presence in eight countries, 11 production facilities, and over 3,000 employees.
The Need for a New System
The main challenge for Quadrant was the need for a complete replacement of the existing ERP system and the modernization of the company’s business process management. The project required the new ERP system to be integrated with a Sales Force Automation (SFA) system, to comply with the requirements for the adoption of the euro in Bulgaria, to provide a fully automated process for tracking products by batch and expiration date, and to enable better integration with major retail chains.
Project Goals
- Complete replacement of the existing ERP system with a modern cloud platform;
- Ensuring integration between the ERP and the new SFA system;
- Implementation of full batch traceability for products;
- Automation of document and data exchange with key customers via the EDI channel;
- Improvement of accounting and reporting to the Mattoni 1873 Group.
The Solution
Balkan Services implemented the world’s #1 cloud ERP solution, Oracle NetSuite, as a centralized system for managing key business processes at Quadrant.
The solution covers a wide range of business activities, including manufacturing processes, automated certificate issuance, pallet labeling (SSCC), and full forward and reverse batch traceability. It also includes commercial management (with a focus on pricing policies and promotions), warehouse logistics and deliveries, sales, procurement, as well as financial and accounting reporting. In addition, the system provides analytical reports required for internal control and group-level reporting.
