How Enterpoint connects Generations X and Z

Embracing differences is a crucial aspect of working effectively with multiple generations. The unique combination of factors that motivate each generation can bring diverse perspectives and ideas to the table, leading to more creativity and innovation.

The following lines highlight a solution resulting from our 18 years of experience implementing software systems, a wealth of know-how gained from delivering projects in various industries, and the innovative spirit of our team.

The Balkan Services team has developed a quick-to-implement ERP software that includes everything needed to optimize business process management.

At Enterpoint, we combined tried-and-tested methods and best practices. The solution clearly shows the footprint of the innovative “digital” Generation Z (people born between 1996 and 2009).

Enterpoint combines the technological skills and values of a more experienced generation with the speed, adaptability and flexibility of Generation Z,” said Boyana Likomanova, Head of Business Solutions & Consulting at Balkan Services, during her participation in Industrial Tech Forum 2024.

She said that our important goal as consultants is to apply this know-how, see the pitfalls and guide our partners so that they avoid them.

Enterpoint and Generations X and Z

For members of Generation X (people born between 1965 and 1979), the most important methods and qualities needed to achieve life goals (instrumental values) are “professionalism” and “stability. ” Compared to all other generations, Xers value knowledge most highly but view it mostly as experience.

This generation focuses on a structured and process-oriented work environment. Their approach is detailed, with distinct steps. Strategic thinking and long-term planning are their strengths, and tried-and-tested methods and best practices are their main tools at work.

On the other hand, Generation Z places the greatest importance on dynamism and the speed of change in all its aspects. This generation’s guiding understandings are related to personal individuality and uniqueness.

This is the first all-digital generation that has not had to learn to work with new technologies because these skills are “innate”.

According to some researchers, Generation Z is the first generation to integrate themselves and the technologies surrounding them successfully. These people are expected to kick-start the next revolution that will use the capabilities of artificial intelligence to fuse man and machine into one.

In creating Enterpoint, we combined Generation X’s characteristics (experience, focus on detail, clearly structured way of working, strategic thinking, tried and tested methods) with those of Digital Generation Z (speed, uniqueness, technological advancement).

“The name Enterpoint speaks to the main purpose of this software – a starting point from which any business can begin when it has reached a point where it is considering integrating an ERP software,” said Susanna Petkova, ERP consultant at Balkan Services.

During her participation in the professional forum on technological innovation in the industrial sector, Susana Petkova summarized that Enterpoint combines the testing methods, best practices and rich know-how of 18 years of experience and 170+ ERP projects of the Balkan Services team. The system can be upgraded with additional functionalities, has an easy-to-use Bulgarian interface, and fully complies with Bulgarian accounting standards and legislation. Implementing the ERP solution is only 1 month and monthly completion in under 10 minutes.

“The software helps the business by taking away the operational work and enabling management and company accounting to focus on analysis and verification,” she said.
